The Details

Close enough to see the work.

Three groups of surfaces, and what is actually being looked at in each. Every photograph here is illustrative concept imagery, not a record of completed work.

01 / Surfaces

What a surface looks like depends on the material and how it has been treated. This is what we look at before deciding what it needs.

Leather: texture, perforations and stitching, before anything is applied.Illustrative concept image

02 / Edges

The edges are where careful work is easiest to see, and where rushed work is easiest to spot.

03 / Spaces

Interiors are cleaned in an order, from the top down, so that earlier work is not undone by a later step.

Questions about a specific surface?

Describe the material and what you have noticed — that is usually enough to know what is realistic.
